The Hotel White (pictured on top right) was constructed in 1856. The Hotel White no longer remains. There is now a local gas station on the spot where the hotel once stood.
Across the street from the old Hotel White was the Bank of North Bennington (now Merchants Bank) , founded in 1864. (pictured to lower right) Note old the Trolley Car coming up the road from Hoosick Falls. |
